  • registration dates and eligibility
  • academic standing
  • blocked records
  • financial aid
  • tuition payment notifications
  • confirmations for adding/dropping classes

  • view previous messages (available for 150 days after received date)
  • delete messages (available for 14 days after deleted date)

What you can't do:

  • send e-mail from My Messages.

My Messages ensures that you receive a copy of official e-mails, but it is still important for you to update your e-mail address whenever it changes because not all e-mails are sent through My Messages. You can change your e-mail address online using eConnect’s Change E-mail Address feature (log in required). If you are unable to change your e-mail online, then go to your Admissions Office to make this request.

What you will see:

My Messages ensures that you receive a copy of all official communications from the campuses of Dallas College that are either federally, state, or college mandated. • tuition payment notifications
  • confirmations for adding/dropping classes
  • changing e-mail addresses

What you will not see:

There are other official  communications from the campuses of  Dallas College  that you will want to receive that are not sent to My Messages, so it is important for you to update your e-mail address whenever it changes. Examples include:

  • e-mails from your professor
  • class announcements/meeting times
  • daily campus announcements
  • general announcements relating to job listings, server down messages, bad weather and holiday closings

These types of messages provide an Opt-Out feature by indicating a willingness to remove your name from the list.

Non-official Dallas College communications are never sent to My Messages. Examples include:

  • unsolicited marketing/advertising communications
  • social club announcements
  • SPAR activities
  • athletic/department announcements

These communications are sent through a ListServe and you always have the option to Opt-Out.

Note: The above lists are meant to serve as examples and are in no way inclusive of every communication you might receive from the Dallas College.
