Fall 2026 Tour: The Brown House

The Brown House

Built by Thomas and Mattie Brown in 1905, the Brown House stayed in the family until the 1930s. After several subsequent owners, it was acquired and restored by the Birmingham Memorial Land Trust, a Wylie charitable organization. It was acquired by the city of Wylie in 2015 and opened to the public.

Admission and parking are free.

When: Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Where: 301 N. Ballard Ave., Wylie, TX 75098

The Retiree Association Holiday Luncheon

Save the date: Mark your calendar for Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2026, so that you won’t miss the Holiday Luncheon!

DCRA members will once again share the holiday spirit at Maggiano’s, North Park. The restaurant is offering the group both a reduced menu and a reduced price. The menu will include group favorites from previous years.

Dallas College Lifelong Learning Program Information

Take part in one of the state's best Lifelong Learning Programs! The Dallas College Lifelong Learning program is designed for community members 55 years of age and older who want to stay mentally sharp, physically fit, become more technology savvy, attend interesting lectures of current events, take short excursions and much more. Students 65 years of age and older are eligible for tuition waivers.
