As summer winds down and you prepare for the start of classes, why not turn your next campus visit into an adventure? Dallas College locations are home to dozens of unexpected treasures, from scenic nature trails and historic landmarks to public art and community spaces. These 60 Hidden Gems were recognized as part of our 60th Anniversary celebration.

This year, Dallas has taken center stage at the World Cup, hosting more matches than any other city with nine games. Behind the excitement, thousands of volunteers work to keep the tournament running smoothly and make sure the logistics go off without a hitch. One of them is Gabriel Martinez, a Dallas college alum and employee, who shares what it’s like to be part of one of the world’s biggest sporting events.

Students from Dallas College came home from the Skills USA Championships in Atlanta with five medals and a renewed sense of confidence, leadership and career readiness. The competition, held June 1-5, brought together 6,800 state champions from across the country to compete in 115 skilled trades and leadership categories.
