Dallas College Accessibility Services coordinates accommodations for students with disabilities to ensure equal access to programs and services.
Accommodations are coordinated to fit individual needs and may include:
- Extended time on exams and quizzes
- Note-taking services
- Assistive technology
- Captioned videos
- Large-print materials
Documentation
Students requesting services are responsible for providing educational, psychological or medical documentation from a qualified professional verifying their disability and the need for accommodations.
Steps to obtain accommodations:
- Complete an Application for Accommodation
- Submit documentation of a disability when you complete the Application for Accommodations or bring it to a campus office.
- Attend an intake meeting, in person or online, with your case manager Important: Emails requesting to set up a meeting will be sent to your student email.
- Receive notification of your approved accommodations.
How To Get Started
New students and new online students are encouraged to complete the Application for Accommodations as soon as they register for courses. After you complete the application, students will be assigned a case manager that will schedule a meeting to begin the process for services. Students can visit any campus location to begin the process.

Important Note About Semester Renewals
You must renew your accommodations with your case manager each semester. Accessibility Services will only send an Approved Academic Accommodation letter to faculty after you register for classes and after you submit a Semester Request.
