In accordance with House Bill 4224/Section 181.105 of the Texas Health and Safety Code:

Requesting Your Counseling Records:

You have the right to request a copy of your mental health records. If you would like to request your health care records as a client of this center, please contact Counseling@DallasCollege.edu or speak directly with your current therapist. You will be assisted with our process in securely releasing records in accordance with the law, privacy regulations, and our center procedures.

Contacting the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC):

The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council regulates licensed mental health professionals in Texas, and prosecutes professional misconduct committed by marriage and family therapists, professional counselors, psychologists, psychological associates, social workers, and licensed specialists in school psychology. Although not every complaint against or dispute with a licensee involves professional misconduct, the Executive Council will provide you with information about how to file a complaint.
