Dallas College Arts Month is a vibrant celebration of our thriving artistic community. It highlights the extraordinary creativity and talent of Dallas College students, faculty and staff across the arts and cultural landscape. We invite the community to join us in experiencing and participating in dynamic events, performances and exhibitions throughout the month.
Design Week
Our third annual Dallas College Design Week (April 20-24) will feature events highlighting the academic areas of design, digital arts, architecture, fashion, fashion marketing and interior design. The culminating event of Design Week is our Future of Fashion Showcase, a one-of-a-kind experience spotlighting the outstanding designs of our students. Tickets for the runway fashion show are available for purchase now.

April is a time when we celebrate the power of creativity.
It is Arts Month for the City of Dallas and at Dallas College.
The second annual Dallas College Arts Month will be showcasing the arts across all of our campuses and in the community.
My name is Ahava Silkey-Jones and I have the honor of serving as Vice Provost for the School of Creative Arts, Entertainment and Design at Dallas College.
The School of Creative Arts, Entertainment and Design spans seven campuses, more than twelve galleries and ten performance spaces.
Our reach is as broad as our scope.
Throughout the month of April, Dallas College will host performances, exhibitions, festivals and special events that highlight the incredible talent of our students.
A few events I'm especially excited to highlight include our Downtown Dallas Art and Music Festival taking place the second weekend of April.
We will be partnering with FG3 Fine Art Productions and Downtown Dallas Incorporated to showcase student artwork, feature local musicians and celebrate artists from across our communities.
We will be hosting our second annual Art and Literature Festival at our Cedar Valley campus, shining a spotlight on the literary arts. We are thrilled to host our third annual Design Week.
Over four days we will feature our Digital Art and Design programs, XRVR, UXUI, Fashion Marketing, Architecture and Interior Design, culminating with our Fashion Show at Astoria Event venue where our student designers will debut original collections in a runway experience inspired by the energy of New York Fashion Week.
We will host feature events at our key partner sites, Space at Adolphus Tower, Omni Dallas Hotel, Hotel Anatole and Plaza of the Americas.
We will also host professional art collection tours across our campuses.
Audiences can experience culminating student performances and exhibitions in dance, music, theater and visual arts across our campuses, free and open to the public.
Creativity has the power to connect communities, spark imagination and shape our future.
