| Did you know suicide is a leading cause of death across multiple age groups, and is the second leading cause of death for ages 20-34? We'll discuss risk factors, protective factors, and warning signs related to suicide and how to connect to care if you think someone may be struggling. Participants will learn about on-campus and community resources for mental health and well-being. |

This event is hosted by Dallas College Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). CAPS provides free mental health counseling services to Dallas College students. Suicide Awareness Month : Monday, Sept. 21 - 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Participants will gain insight into the risk factors associated with suicide, recognize common warning signs, and learn practical ways to support someone who may be struggling. The presentation will also address the importance of reducing stigma around mental health, encouraging help-seeking behaviors, and connecting individuals with available resources and support services.
