Logging into the Microsoft Remote Desktop on Android.

You can access your Remote Desktop with your Android phone using the Microsoft Remote Desktop app in the Play Store.

You will need to: Install the Remote Desktop app

Use a URL to point to your remote desktop

Know your student ID and password to login

Installing the Remote Desktop app.

Step One: Launch the Play Store app on your phone.

Step Two: Search by typing Microsoft Remote Desktop.

Step Three: Select the Remote Desktop app with the orange box, white circle, and less than, greater than symbols.

Step Four: Click the green Install button to download and install the app.

Step Five: Once the app has finished installing, click the Open button to launch the app.

At this point, we need to tell the app where to locate your Remote Desktop workspace.

You'll only have to perform these steps the first time.

Step One: Click the Workspaces button at the bottom right of your screen.

Step Two: Next, click the plus (+) at the top right of your screen, then choose Add Workspace from the list.

Step Three: In the Email or Workspace URL field type the following URL: https://rdweb.wvd.microsoft.com/api/arm/feeddiscovery

You'll see a message that states, "A workspace is associated with this URL."

Step Four: Click on the Next button at the top right of your screen.

Logging into your remote desktop.

You must know your student ID and password to log in and access your Remote Desktop and applications.

Step One: Enter your student ID into the Email, phone, or Skype field, then click on the Next button.

Step Two: On the Sign-in screen, enter your password, then click on the Sign In button.

Step Three: On the Verify your identity screen, choose to authenticate using the Microsoft Authenticator app or by receiving a text message or call on your phone.

Step Four: When verifying by text message, wait for the text message to appear on your phone, then enter the six-digit code from the message into the Code field in the Enter code dialogue, then click on the Verify button.

You'll see a message that your workspace is being set up and it will appear shortly after.

Please be patient.

If this is your first time entering the Azure desktop environment.

The desktop environment will load more quickly for subsequent logins.

You now have access to your Remote Desktop applications just as you would on a computer.

iOS Instructions

Logging into the remote desktop on iOS.

iOS Instructions.

You can access your Remote Desktop with your Apple phone using the Microsoft Remote Desktop app in the App Store.

You will need to: Install the Microsoft Remote Desktop app

Use a URL to point to your remote desktop

Know your student ID and password to log in

Installing the Remote Desktop App.

Step One: Launch the App Store app on your phone.

Step Two: Search by typing Microsoft Remote Desktop and select it from the list of results.

Step Three: Click on the Remote Desktop mobile tile to view the app details.

Step Four: Click on the Get button, then click the Install button to proceed.

Step Five: Several messages will appear requesting access to your network,bluetooth, microphone and camera.

Click on the Okay button to authorize each of them, then press Continue to launch the Remote Desktop app.

At this point, we need to tell the app where to locate your Remote Desktop workspace. You'll only have to perform these steps the first time.

Step One: Enter your E7 student ID into the Email field, then click on the Next button.

Step Two: On the Sign in screen, enter your password, then click on the sign-in button.

You'll see a message that your Workspace is being set up and it will appear shortly after. Please be patient if this is your first-time entering the Remote Desktop environment. The Remote Desktop environment will load more quickly for subsequent logins.

You now have access to your Remote Desktop and applications just as you would on a computer.


Note: The Remote Desktop app is available on Android 4.1 and later, and Chromebooks with ChromeOS 53 and later. The Remote Desktop app is also available on iOS 13 or later. Multi-Factor Authentication is required when connecting to your virtual desktop off campus.

Connecting to Your Device

  1. Download the application to your device.
  2. Once the app is installed, open the app, and select the plus sign in the top right corner and then select add workspace.
  3. Add the following URL in the Add Workspace screen: https://rdweb.wvd.microsoft.com/api/arm/feeddiscovery
  4. Log in with your Dallas College Username info in the email and password fields. Example: e9876543@student.dcccd.edu.
  5. Complete the login process using your Dallas College student ID and password, and then you’ll be able to select your applications from the Workspaces menu.
