Get Started

You can access your virtual desktop a variety of ways, including: on-campus labs and off campus with Windows PC or Mac OS computers, iOS devices and Android devices.

Note: Multi-Factor Authentication will be needed when connecting to your virtual desktop off campus.

Why Should You Use a Virtual Desktop?

  • The virtual desktop allows students to access software needed for their courses and is reachable from anywhere in the world with a secure internet connection.
  • Students can access software for their coursework on the first day of the class.
  • Even without a powerful computer, students can run heavy compute and graphic intensive coding, engineering, and design applications on the virtual desktop environment.
  • The Virtual Desktop environment uses OneDrive cloud storage, so the files created can be saved to the virtual desktop, which syncs to the student's OneDrive account.
  • Assignments and documents created and saved to the virtual desktop can be shared with instructors via a direct link. No more need to try and compress large files or share USB drives between students and instructors.
  • All files created and saved to the virtual desktop will be accessible to the student whenever and wherever they're logged in to their virtual desktop.
